  • I have listened to the Beethoven number, and was very impressed! What an amazing performance! I’ve always enjoyed hearing Beethoven’s music (and Mozart too). Congrats to the winners, and thanks for sharing the links with us. Cheers!!

  • I like the Bartók concerto. It’s great to be able to listen and watch the streaming video.

  • Thank you for your post.  Beethoven is one of my favorites.

  • Thank you so much for the link.  I’ve just listened while I work.

  • Oh, this is wonderful! There is certainly something about classical music that is heaven-sent. I can’t imagine life without being able to hear it!

  • Thanks Naomi for dropping by and reading my recent post. I am hoping beyond hope that Mel Gibson will finally see the errors of his ways before it’s too late and that he meets God’s wrath instead.

Have a great week Naomi… Take care and it’s always nice to be your Xanga friend for years now…

    Have a good night!

  • Yes, it has been a hot summer! Thanks for your comment: glad you are well!

  • My sweet Naomi…first I must tell you that I heard every last note of one of the performers…Then I must tell you a short story.  My father was a piano tuner…and tuned for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra so we were the recepients of free tickets on the first floor.  So I was raised around classical music but didn’t know how much hold on me that it had until many years later.  My first husband died when I was just 18 so I rushed into a second marriage, this young man was very nice and took care of me well but our goals weren’t the same.  He liked Country Western Music so that is the kind of records we collected.  Eventually our goals in life were so far apart that we divorced.  I then met Bobby, my husband now for 39 years.  I worked from home on the phone.  He was home one day and bored he went to the library…he brought home this same manuscript done by Issac Stern.  He put it on the player and I stopped what I was doing and cried.  The sounds of the music washed over me like the gentle waves of the ocean.  Indeed as you said, God’s heavenly music.  Thank you for sending this to us. ~ mom    PS. there is an answer to your comment on my site.
