  • President Obama brings hope to some, despair to others.  Your list of nations possessing nuclear weapons does not include the weapons held by Pakistan, India, and North Korea.  These nations do not intend to lay them down.  I too dream of peace, of people who are willing to live together without harming one another.  I have grieved for Japan and the terrible price paid.

  • yes, we are very excited about the new President.

  • The flowers and plants are very nice.

  • I hope they can arrive at an agreement!

  • Naomi! such beautiful, beautiful greenery and blooms   I adore red brick, and your flora looks so vibrant next to it.  The garden images bring peace of spirit in these precarious times.

    Blessings, my Friend~

  • The abolition of the weapons is a great first step. Let's hope it continues.

  • I did not get to hear the speech but anything that can be done to assure the continuance of civilization as we know it should be encouraged.  I am with Mag_1...plant flowers not bombs.  One thing I have noticed if it is any reassurance...more people have been talking about the horrors of war and the hope for peace than has been seen since two generations ago.  That may make it more possible than ever before.  ~ mom

  • Your flowers and plants are beautiful as always. As far as nukes go, we still have to worry about countries like Iran who are in the process of making nuclear weapons. A lot of eloquent speeches on nuclear disarmament isn't going to make hardened dictators reconsider their intentions.

  • RYC: "Iran is dangerous exactry..how to stopp it...and perhaps, most dangerous is every country see enemy for other country eachother..how to delete nuclear weapon on this earth.....we have duty of apeal this message..because, only we know what that was." It is especially tough when each country feels the other is its enemy. We all hope that we can wish all the hostility away with just a few optimistic words about peace and coexistence. Not that simple I'm afraid.

  • ryc, I think the ballerina on the video is particularly pure and delicate. Such a joy to watch.

  • Your flowers are so soft and full of light!

  • love the flowers..But could do without Obama..
