they stand up back of us..
the peak is as like as a lance..
or as like as the back of horse...

the top look down to us..
and wind is blowing gentry..

I have been reading Karen Kingston's book: "Creating Sacred Space with Feng Shui". She lives half the year in Bali and she speaks of Mountains and their powerful and majestic directions in the utilization of placement.
Certainly, to have inspired such lovely Poetic verse as you have composed this day, is testament to their Kinship to the heart and soul.

I love the poster and the poem brings out the view. I love the mountains. This is why I chose to settle in Idaho in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Year round, I find a reason to venture into the solitude of the rolling hills and ragged peaks. For me, the mountains are a retreat where I can sit and converse with God.

ryc, I heard about the earthquake on the news. I wondered if you felt it. I never thought too much about earthquakes when I lived in San Francisco but now that I'm in Texas I do worry a little about living so close to the Gulf of Mexico.
