This is pointless if thema is only homosexual story...
very thoughtful and insightful story..I rather thinked
this background of time..It was Veitnum war 1963 and
started competition of economy system ...so people
felt fear of conscription system and ordinaly people
got fall down low economy easy with unfear system..
and family become break down..man were seeking to
what is worth of life or what is real joy in life....also
living in great nature make feel spritual life and feel
man's romanticism...ofcurse, not deny to family life too..
this mountain of location in Canada is so beautiful...
not only me as feel man's fasinate when ride on horse
and runnning on wild field... modern western cowboy
without unrefined...feel high sense and philosophy..
and acoustic guitersound good effect for tragic story...producer Ann Lee got Golden Glove prize..and
hero Heath Ledger have good taste and make fasinate of ordinaly shay person...his reverationaly and
humanity atomospher play calm passion...this is one of the meanningful movie for my celection with
" American beauty " or " American Spycho " or " East of Eden " or etc of Elia Kazan movie...
I mean man's romanticism isn't sexual...It's about of life style in soul , you know....
yes, I felt something this hero as like as James Dean...
add...Heath Ledger got marry with palyer of his wife in this movie later..
Heath Ledger

I have yet to see it yet...
I haven't seen it.
I agree with you, romanticism isn't about sex, it is about life and soul.
Yes... human and nature should be as one.
<3 for you NaomiWoman you have gr8 phlosophical insight
Yes, I also liked that one. I see you are quite emotional with this movie..Hmm, thats good I think, to know the backgrounds, not to see the story first as homosexual love between 2 cowboys..
I had to think at all the time on Marlboro Classics Fashion Group..Maybe is it how we europeans relate American cowboys, eh
Yes being intimate with another dose not mean sex, to have insight is to have a window into one's own self.
Excellent review.
Thanks for the review. I have not seen this one. Judi
