Comets had been a mystery to humans since ancient times. Unlike planets or |
consetellations, a comet is un unexpected heavenly body, which appears
abruptly and disapears..In some regions, it was a star of happiness , but |
other regions, it was an ominous sign for disaster. |
The true character of a comet was unknown even in the 17th Century in |
ancient Greece, comet apear in the stomosphere , but it was testified for |
apear in space at 16th Century. |

an early writer of science fiction story...his nature philosophy is ceneterised |
for theory of planet...1618, he announced as planet revolves around sun with |

one of the famous comet is Halley's comet. Halley (1656-1742) discovered to |
comet is planet as revolves around sun..and he predicted as comet which |
apeared 1862 will apear again at 1759..unfortunatly, he passed away before |
comet return back, but named Halley's comet for praise of his achievement. |

Comet is as like as black gigantic snow ball and it apear light tale when close |
to sun..it's very excite thing to know about mechanism of planet..and Halley's
comet come again at 2064...it seems mini comet were discovered a lot
in every year by amateur or proffesional astronomer..

My son named our Marmelade cat Comet after Comet Hale-Bopp that came in 1997, so we always know how old he is.

I don't know why people like to be scared. I don't like to be scared. This one wasn't very scary. But, I wouldn't have watched it if I hadn't had friends over.

when Halley's comet was visible, I took our small kids, telescope, sky map and a picnic supper out into the country to find it and follow it. The first (and last) time I used a sky map to find something. And what an enormous thrill when I did find it and how quickly it moved. Thank you for telling me about the moon offering, such a lovely custom, something so poetic about it. -g
