  • Baroque

Baroque music is comfortable to my ear for me..it bring my mind to
medieble time world...for Hendel or Bach or Vivaldi ..
My quriously searched to Wikipedia as what " baroque" is..few supprised..
Baroque is movement of build or music or paint in 16-18Century.
This Baroque words come from " distorted pearl " by Portuguese..
enconter to Renaissance as harmony and balancing , took use molding
and closely decoration or light..this imposing and surplus technic
told to unbalance for encounter of classic..art mean break to
completely beauty..it seems Europian monachis an excuse to become
more independent from holly Roman Empire and encounter to Catholic.
sounds dramatic change , but in music world, I feel it's as only classic..
I feel Baroque art is beautiful enough, however, acording of imfo,
"people who lived in dilapidated Baroque age , they seems become
can't live without hunging of illusion "..sounds, this people's mind
continu from this age to this world now, and I few thinked Rock is alive
in ultimate extension line from Baroque ? ..that explode energe..I had
times when I loved rock, but my recentry feeling is much to classic...
my friend song a mass at church last week , S‚ƒhuman and Mozart.
      It was nice concert..

  • Baroque is such a beautifully intricate style. Just look at all the detail!!

  • Yes, I think that baroque style seems to renew itself at or near the beginning of a new century -- a new burst of energy and a desire to break away from the previous traditions. I also like your poem from your previous entry, and it goes so well with the picture -- the 'star dust' floating along behind the shooting star.

  • Baroque is wonderful. I love the pictures.

  • Harmonious is  Baroque,

    Curves and swirls,

    Master artists brush stroke,

A treat to the eyes unfurls,

    Ornate but oh, so pretty,

    Swirls and curls,

    Most are  an artistic ditty.

    Thanks Milady.

  • Commenting back and forth is fun! I enjoy it too.

  • There's something about the classic style of Baroque that has always affected me strongly...perhapes because fathers family came from Roma...

  • I should go to Paris. That is a good idea.

  • My husband says things like:

If it ain't baroque don't fix it.
(baroque being a word-play on broke-- broken)

I also like the Art Deco style.

  • Very interesting post and beautiful photos. Thanks so much for sharing. Hope your day is a good one. :)

Johann Pachebel is my most favoured of Baroque composers~

    Blessings~

  • ryc; Yes, Joni Mitchell is an amazing singer, songwriter. She sings an anti-war song called 'The Fiddle and the Drum.' Some politicians in America are always beating the drums of war. They never learn.

  • These are wonderful pictures.

  • Yes, I am blessed that my parents are still with us. I know you miss yours.
