Venice Baroque Orchestra                   concert master Juliano Carminyola

It played Vibaldi " Four Seasons " at concert of 16/Sep/2005 in here by TV today...
I only heard by CD , so I didn't know all strings member stand up play except Lute and
Cembalo and cello ..I rather like this little member orchestra or strings quartet..four
season were all excellent part , but I most like  " spring "...spring is eternity hope and
joy..by the way,I suddenry remenbered " Merchant of Venice " with seeing this violinist
as like as Greece statue..2005 movie of this, Al Pacino played to marchant <Shylock>
and Jeremy Irons ( Kingdom of heaven ) as <Antonio>.....one pound of muscles..
Shakespeare wrote as comedy story ( from wikkipedia )..but I felt serious...

                   2005 / USA        Jeremy Irons

  • Beautiful  music and words!

  • "Merchant of Venice" is my very favourite of all of Shakespeare's writings. I haven't seen the movie but Al Pacino and Jeremy Irons are two of my favourite actors, so I'll be sure to look for it at the video store this week. Spring is also my favourite season and indeed is full of hope and joy, and great expectations, too. It always makes me feel hopeful when I see the crocus and daffodills blooming and I know spring is just around the corner. Take good care of you, my friend. You are such a delight!

  • Very nice! Thanks for the comments!

  • I have never heard a Baroque Orchestra but I do like Vivalde.  Dallas Symphony Orchestra generally has a summer thing where once a month they perform for the public.  It is free.  It is chamber music.  Bobby works too many hours now to go but one summer we went every month.  Although we are so very lucky in this age to have CD's it just doesn't compare to the live performances.  I am not musically educated but I know what I like and what I don't like.  Classical Music is timeless.  I had a brother in law that told me that Classical Music was boring so I brought him over to our house, made hot dogs, popcorn and colas and gave him the Boston Pops version of the 1812 Overture at full volume.  He has never said Classical Music is boring since. :? ) ~ mom

  • A media store here is going out of business and they had some sell-out prices on their classical CDs.  I just filled my cart.  I bought a double set of Strings. Thinking it only had strings, I was surprised that there were also some vocals with string background.  Ummmm

  • Sounds wonderful..

  • Naomi, Just thought that I would drop by and say hello. I haven't done that in a while.
