Santa Lucia was Italian sage, but man who loved her killed with hopless love. |
people celeblate to Saint Lucia’s Day at 13/Dec and drive away the |
dark of longest winter world of Sweden…I read this imformation of newspaper |
written by Swedish Mr.Lindel Zinmei ( flutest ) |
|
It seems become dark at three oclock afternoon in Sweden of December , people |
enjoy candle light in daily life more than electric bulb ( fantastic…! ) prize celemony |
of Nobel at 10/Dec, Santa Lucia parade apear to hotel room where Nobel prize winner |
were staying few fast celeblation day..top angel Lucia wear white dress and many candle |
on the head, and many girl or boy of child angel follow up her with singing this song, in Stockholm.. ( I was singing this tytle of song in child age in here..how about you ? ) |
|
*** Santa Lucia *** |
every house have dark night |
and darkness live in this forgotten place by sun.. |
but don’t worry.. |
Santa Lucia bring light of candle in your house..
( candle light on the head of Lucia.. )
Mr.Lindel play japanese flute ( shakuhati ) ..acording his theory, this instlement | have proverbe as ” If be attacked by light, you should attack by light, if be attacked | by dark, you should attack by dark..” he found similar situation in Sweden life, | very hot and brightly summer ( sun can’t hide ) and very cold and darkness | winter..Swedish use properly to friendly summer and depression in winter… | Santa Lucia is onother fairy tale in the near birth place of Santa Claus in Finland..

I have never been to Italy so I have not seen the ceremony in person but did know something of its existance. The young lady with the responsibility of Lucia must be honored indeed. I don’t see how she can balance the candles and still walk. Thank you for sharing this tradition with us and including the wonderful pictures. ~ mom
Wishing you a very merry Christmas!
